Twinning Sport Events
The long-term commitment among the CIMS partners remains fresh and dynamic. Both University of Messina (UNIME) and Universidad de Córdoba (UCO) host two important sport events during 2012. This twinning event gives an opportunity to share good practice in exchange views covering a wide range of issues about the organization of sport events in the respective territories.
The twinning sport events gave the chance to CIMS partner delegations to take part at hosted sport programmes to experience differing cultures and training facilities. A synthetic approach study has been developed recognising the vital role of universities have played in delivering sport events, with their best practices and recommendations, developing mutual understanding and cross-cultural and administrative awareness between people from different cultures and systems.
The final report was presented during VI CIMS International Conference - Sport and Society - Freedom and Social Memory held in Richmond from 13 to 15 September 2012 - Sports and Universities: An International Twinning Event
